drug house has been raided - this time at Horningsea Park. It follows a recent bust at a house on Wonga Rd at Lurnea, which was gutted by fire last Wednesday - seven days after $132,000 of cannabis plants were seized and a man, 33, arrested. About 1.15pm on Monday, Strike Force Zambesi detectives began the search at 27 Packard Place at Horningsea Park and seized 63 cannabis plants. The strike force was formed to shutdown hydroponic cannabis houses, while the Asian crime squad has been probing the organised criminal syndicates behind them. Last month $22.6 million worth of cannabis had been seized during a five-month investigation targeting drug houses in south- west Sydney. The estimated street value of Monday’s haul was unclear as investigations continued but the fire that gutted the Lurnea drug house appears to have been deliberately lit. About 2.35pm Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Busby and Horningsea Park responded to the fire. The roof and second story of the house was found to be well alight.
