Three charged after drug bust

 

Police have charged three men and a woman over the alleged large-scale supply of heroin in Sydney's south west. They say that after an extensive investigation, detectives attached to State Crime Command's Asian Crime Squad, assisted by police from Fairfield Local Area Command, Cabramatta Local Area Command and the South West Region Enforcement Squad, arrested three people about 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 7 September 2011) in relation to alleged drug trafficking. 'Those arrested include a 32-year-old Smithfield man, a 28-year-old Smithfield woman and a 37-year-old Canley Heights man,' police said. 'The 32-year-old man was charged with two counts of ongoing supply of heroin for commercial purposes and one count of recklessly deal with proceeds of crime. 'He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court. 'The 28-year-old woman was charged with the ongoing supply of heroin for commercial purposes and two counts of posses prohibited drug. 'She was reused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court. 'The 37-year old man was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of heroin and deal with proceeds of crime. 'He was also refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court. Police say that detectives executed two search warrants at Canley Heights and Smithfield were they allegedly seized a large amount of cash, an amount of heroin, a press, and other drug paraphernalia. Strike Force Monolith was establshed to investigate the ongoing commercial supply of heroin in South Western Sydney and comprises detectives from the Asian Crime Squad
